The Family Reunion (6ft x 4ft) was painted live over four days during Chef Kwame Onwuachi’s signature gathering at Salamander Middleburg—an annual celebration of diversity, legacy, and community in the culinary arts. Sponsored by Coca-Cola, this work captures the spirit of togetherness in real time.
The scene blends portraiture and atmosphere, centering on the firepit as a symbol of gathering, surrounded by chefs, visionaries, and community members engaged in warmth, conversation, and shared heritage.
It was an honor to portray Sheila Johnson, and the Legacy Chefs whose artistry shapes American food culture, including Kwame Onwuachi, Carla Hall, Dr. Jessica B.
